AGM Update and Introduction to the Election Candidates

The Annual General Meeting of Lewes Community Football Club will take place on Thursday 7th December at 7.00pm UK time.

Board Elections

The Club is looking to fill seven director positions in total at this election, which will bring us back up to ten elected directors.

As of midnight on Tuesday 28th November, 13 applications were received for the seven positions available on the Board, meaning there will be a hustings and election prior to the Annual General Meeting on Thursday 7th December.

Voting:

Voting will open at 9am Thursday 30th November, and will close at midnight on Wednesday 6th December.

To be eligible to vote, you must have a valid and active ownership as of Thursday 30th November. If you’re under 16 years of age you will not be eligible to vote. Owners are able to vote for up to seven candidates, but can only do so once. A link to vote has been circulated in recent Owner emails.

The seven candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to the Board. All appointments to the Board are subject to passing the FA’s Owners & Directors Test and adherence to the Club’s Election Policy.

Hustings:

As part of the election process, an online hustings will be held via Zoom on Monday 4th December, 7-9pm (UK time), giving owners a chance to hear more from the candidates and ask questions. A link to join has been emailed to owners. We welcome any advance questions you would like to put to candidates at the hustings. Should you have any, please send these to owners@lewesfc.com.

After the hustings and election process is complete, election results will be announced at the AGM on Thursday 7th December. The AGM will be hybrid; you may join via Zoom or attend in person in the Rook Inn from 6.45pm. A link to this session will be sent out to all owners after the hustings.
