Darren Freeman has bolstered his squad for the Christmas fixtures with a trio of new signings.
Straight into the squad for tomorrow’s visit to Sittingbourne is attacking midfielder Omarr Lawson. Omarr has been a regular at VCD Atheltic this season, scoring nine league goals for the Kent side. Omarr has previously been on the books of Dulwich Hamlet, Canvey Island, Bognor Regis and was briefly with The Rooks under Garry Wilson’s reign, although he didn’t make a first-team appearance in his first stint at the club.
With Matthew George still nursing the ankle injury he picked up at Carshalton, we’re pleased to announce Leon Redwood will be re-joining the club on a loan-type deal from Eastbourne Borough. Liam played for the Rooks during the 2015-16 season in the Ryman Premier, before leaving to join Burgess Hill. He signed for National League South side Borough in the summer and will be with us for a month.
Completing the new trio is Liam Wilson, son of the aforementioned former Rooks manager, Garry. Liam was in our Development Squad during Garry’s reign at the Pan, and has spent the past couple of years playing for Providence College in Rhode Island, USA, where he’s been studying.
All three of the new signings will be available for tomorrow’s trip to Kent.
