Lewes FC have secured a hat-trick of new signings ahead of our visit to Leatherhead in the BetVictor Isthmian Premier League.
After a slow start to the season, Darren Freeman feels he needs to bring in fresh blood and players who will compete at this level.
The first signing is young full-back Martyn Box, who joins us on a month’s loan from Barnet. Box lives in Sussex and signed his first professional contract at Barnet last December, after making an impressive debut for the National League side aged just 16. He’ll provide short-term cover for the injured Leon Redwood, who is recovering from a hamstring injury.
The second signing is centre-back Duqame Copeland, whoarrives on a month’s loan from Welling Utd. Dquame is something of a globetrotter, having played in Sweden, Scotland and Wales during his career. He’s made 48appearances for Welling over the past couple of seasons.
The third signing is French striker Yvan Jourdan. The 24-year-old has played for a number of clubs in his homeland and here in England, most recently for Basingstoke Town.
All three new signings are available for selection at Leatherhead.
Two players have been released from the club, Kieron Pamment and Zach Fagan.
Pamment joined the Rooks midway through last season from Burgess Hill Town, whilst Fagan was a summer arrival from Farnborough.
We thank Kieron and Zach for their efforts and wish them well with their football careers.
