Women's football news
As the new season approaches, the club has unveiled another new squad member.
Emily Donovan has joined us from Yeovil Town who competed in last season’s Women’s Super League.
The University of Bath graduate also spent a year at Oxford United where she played for England Universities women’s football squad and for the Team GBR Women’s football squad that competed at the World University Games in Taipei.
Emily commented: “I’m delighted to have joined Lewes ahead of the upcoming season. It’s an ambitious club with strong social values and I’m looking forward to playing a part in what they’re striving to achieve.”
First Team Manager Fran Alonso added: “Emily has come from WSL team Yeovil Town. Despite her being very young she already has great experience in the professional game. Emily will definitely help us to increase our levels of professionalism. She had other options but always showed the desire to play for Lewes and we are delighted she is with us now.”
