- The Rooks have further strengthened with the signing of Ronan Silva on loan from Crawley Town and centre back Alfie Young
An athletic and technical box to box midfielder, Silva deviated from the conventional route of a professional footballer by committing to studying, gaining a degree from Loughborough University. After his studies had concluded, Ronan returned to football with his local club Bigglesewade Town and his impressive performances and goalscoring capability quickly alerted the attentions of Crawley Town who signed him to a professional contract in February 2022. Silva joined Eastleigh at the start of March 2022, making ten appearances for The Spitfires in the National League.
Also in is defender, Alfie Young. The ball playing centre back played over 100 games for Worthing before departing for Potters Bar Town in October 2021. Alfie joined Kingstonian in late January 2022, making 15 league appearances for The K’s.
Both players started in today’s game against Wingate & Finchley with Silva on the scoresheet in a 1-1 draw.
