Lewes ended their home campaign with a 2-1 win against Hashtag United curtsey of goals from Bradley Pritchard and Ola Ogunwamide.
The Rooks went behind in the 23 rd minute after Hashtag hit fast on the counter with Sakariya Hassan putting in a pinpoint perfect cross for Max Cornhill who was left unmarked in the box for him to head in the opener.
Right before half-time, Lewes nearly levelled the score, but Kalvin Lumbombo-Kalala couldn’t latch onto Ola Ogunwamide’s cross in time for him to stick it past Joshua Strizovic.
Hashtag United threatened early in the second half, but Nathan Harvey was on show as he stopped Pedro Carvalho’s close-range free kick from going in, and moments later was quick off his line to prevent Luke May-Parrott from having a tap-in.
Lewes began to grow in confidence past the hour mark and levelled the scoring after Lumbombo-Kalala bombed down the left wing putting in a ball for Bradley Pritchard in the box who slotted in the equaliser past Strizovic.
Then in the 83 rd minute, The Rooks found the deciding goal after Ogunwamide cut in on the right-hand side blasting a spectacular goal from outside the box into the bottom left-hand corner to make it 2-1.
Hashtag United substitute Toby Aromolaran was inches away from levelling the score straight after the restart, but his header struck the woodwork. At the other end, Chris Whelpdale’s cross had nearly caught everyone off guard as it loomed towards goal forcing Strizovic to tip it over.
The Rooks have now recorded four-successive wins on the bounce which takes us up to 7th in the table going into the final weekend of the season, where we travel to already-relegated Haringey Borough.
