Men's football news

Lewes FC Men fell to defeat in the capital after two first-half goals from the home side was enough to secure them the win.
Dulwich had the lead virtually straight from kick-off when their early corner was turned in by Luke Wanadio.
Lewes did respond well to the early goal and just looked to calm things down and keeping possession.
Chris Whelpdale almost found the equaliser just 10 minutes after going behind when he was played in by Sanchez Ming but the Hamlet ‘keeper got a strong hand to it to deny.
Just a minute later, Kalvin Lumbombo-Kalala cut in down the left wing and was himself denied at the near post.
23 minutes in we had our biggest chance from a really well worked move, Ryan Gondoh and KLK combined on the edge of the box before playing in Whelpdale one-on-one but he fired over.
The good work wasn’t rewarded and shortly before half-time, striker Danny Mills beat Nathan Harvey to a cross into the box to head in for their second.
Lewes still came out firing in the second and Whelpdale once again forced the Hamlet ‘keeper into another save.
Hamlet though were professional in their defensive display and limited us to few clear cut chances in the second-half.
70 minutes in, Arthur Penney latched onto a free-kick, but headed just wide.
Substitute Ola Ogunwamide brought some much needed energy and almost had an instant impact firstly with a driven shot from the edge of the box just missing the mark, then shortly after a curled effort that just missed the top corner.
In the end, Dulwich were able to cling onto the points despite a spirited performance from Tony Russell’s side.
