We are excited to confirm the signing of New Zealand international forward, Jacqui Hand.
Jacqui has joined us on a pre-contract agreement and joins the club officially from January subject to regulatory International clearance.
She was previously with Finnish club, Åland United where she scored 14 goals in 29 appearances in the Kansallinen Liiga.
Jacqui made her Ferns debut in 2021 and has since made 17 appearances, scoring twice, and was part of their World Cup squad in the summer.
During the World Cup, she assisted Hannah Wilkinson’s goal that earned them a 1-0 win over Norway in the opening match, their first ever win in the World Cup finals.
Manager, Scott Booth, commented on the signing: “It’s fantastic to finally get Jacqui onboard. She’s a player I have admired for some time now.
“Her ability to play anywhere across the front line, offering pace, intelligence and an eye for goal will prove vital in the 2nd half of the season.”
Upon signing for the club, Jacqui said: “I’m super excited to be joining Lewes! My time with the team so far has been awesome, the girls and coaching staff have been very welcoming and I can’t wait to get started!”
Welcome to Lewes, Jacqui!
