Men's football news
Written by: Jack
Saturday marked the start of 16 days of activism for violence against women and we teamed up with Survivors Network Brighton to raise crucial awareness.
Lucy May from Survivors Network was joined by our Director, Willa Bailey at our men’s training session in the build up to the game where they listened intently to the importance of the campaign.
We are so proud and grateful to see them take part in the campaign, as well as wear our white away strip for the game.
Survivors Network was also able to raise an incredible £369.48 in total, the most they have ever raised in a single day!
Head to the Lewes FC Men instagram where you can see Ryan Gondoh chatting to Lucy May from Survivors Network.
Speaking after the event, Lucy told us: “At Survivors’ Network, we are always proud to work with organisations who share our passion for creating change.
“Tackling the issue of gender-based violence has often fallen on women’s shoulders, but Lewes FC agrees that we need men and boys to get involved in the conversation.
“We are so grateful that they want to use their platform for progress and continue to challenge issues faced by many in the community!”
Thank you to all our amazing fans who made a donation and took part in the day.
