We are thrilled to announce the signing of exciting winger, Ola Ogunwamide.
Ola joins us from Bishop’s Stortford in the National League South following an impressive two seasons with Hornchurch.
During his time with the Urchins, he got over 30 goal contributions in 60 appearances and was influential in their push for promotion.
His performances earned him a brief move to Concord Rangers before returning to Hornchurch and eventually joining Stortford in the summer.
Upon signing for the club, Ola had this to say: “I’ve always been a great admirer of the football Lewes play, I can’t wait to get out there with the boys and get started.”
A huge admirer of the player, manager Tony Russell, was delighted to get the signing over the line.
“I tried to sign Ola last season, but we couldn’t get the deal done, so I’m pleased to get him in.
“One of the main reasons I like him so much is because he is already a good player, but I see so much scope to grow him even more.
“He has rawness about him that I think could be exciting to work with. 6ft left-footed with pace to burn, and he is really direct. He trained last week and looked really impressive.”
