We are delighted to confirm the signing of young left-back, Sam Oguntayo.
Sam, 21, was most recently with Hanwell Town having also played with Eastbourne Borough last season.
He was on loan at Borough from Charlton Athletic where he signed after catching the eye of some of England’s biggest clubs whilst playing for Kingstonian, including Manchester City.
Manager, Tony Russell, commented: “Sam is someone who was brought to our attention with his outstanding performances for his club.
“I followed that up by going to watch him myself, and I was really impressed with what I saw. Sam fits the profile of a player I look to bring to Lewes.
“He is young and talented, with plenty of scope to improve if he is open to being coached. He has an excellent pedigree, having been at Charlton Athletic for several years. I’m excited to work with him and also for the fans to see Sam play.
“It does mean Harvey Hughes has now left the club. Seeing anyone go is always a shame, but we wish Harvey all the very best for the next part of his football journey.”
