Lewes FC is pleased to announce that Bryan Nzinga has been appointed Assistant Manager of the men’s first team.

Already a familiar face at The Dripping Pan, Nzinga first joined Lewes alongside Manager Craig Nelson for the 2024-25 Isthmian League Premier Division season, leading the Rooks to a 13th place finish.

After a stint with Tonbridge Angels in National League South, Nzinga and Nelson returned to Lewes in October 2025 and have so far overseen a revival in the Rooks’ performances.

As coach, Nzinga has been central to establishing and honing the team’s playing style, crafting tactics for both possession and defence, as well as analysing each performance and finding areas for improvement.

Alongside his role with Lewes, Nzinga is helping to foster the next generation of footballing talent as the under-10s head coach at Crystal Palace.

He also previously led the football programme at London-based youth skills charity Reaching Higher and has been manager of Tooting Bec and Lewisham Community Borough.

Nzinga is an exciting coach and managerial talent whom the club are delighted to be working with in an expanded capacity.

“Bryan has been my right hand and a key footballing mind within our coaching operation from day one,” said Nelson.

“His dedication and attention to detail are unrivalled and he plays a huge role in how we work and how we prepare the team.

“This new title reflects the impact he already has and the trust we have in him, as well as his long-term future in football. We are very lucky to have him, and I have no doubt he will go on to be great.”

Nzinga added: “I’m really proud and excited to take on the Assistant Manager role at Lewes and to continue the work we’ve already started.

“I’ve loved being part of the club — the connection with the fans, directors, and wider community makes it feel like a real home.

“Working alongside Pitts is a joy; we’ve known each other for years, share the same footballing ideas, and challenge each other to be better every day.

“Together, we want to build a stable, ambitious environment with a clear identity that everyone at the club can be proud of.”

Lewes Director John Peel said: “I’m so delighted that Bryan is back home at Lewes in this role.

“Bryan is a true student of the game, an immensely perceptive, analytical and knowledgeable coach and a brilliant person along with that who is a perfect fit for Lewes”.
