Lewes FC are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Tatiana Saunders who will wear the number 1 shirt this season.

The 27-year-old joins Lewes having spent last season playing for French side Thonon Evian Grand Geneve where she was the first-choice goalkeeper. She also played for Croix Savoie in France and was the starting goalkeeper there. Before then, Saunders was playing in Iceland for Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar, or more commonly referred to as FH.

When playing in France, Saunders came up against football giants Olympique Lyonnais in the Coupe de France feminine and played in front of over 2000 fans.

Before playing in Europe, Saunders was playing in the United States of America. She was named the 2010 New York State Gatorade Player of the Year. During her time at university, Saunders was named in the All Ivy first team in 2012 and the second team in 2014

Saunders has also represented England at underage level, having played from U15 to U19 level.
