Lewes FC are delighted to announce the signing of 22-year-old Georgia Timms, who will wear the number 9 shirt next season and becomes the Rooks’ third signing of the summer.
Timms was most recently playing at Oxford United in the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division. The Rooks’ new striker started her career with The U’s at the age of 11 and worked her way through the academy to the first team.
Last season Timms was in red hot form in front of goal. She finished the season as the top goal scorer for Oxford, netting 16 goals in all competitions and finishing as the third-highest scorer in the league.
In the 2018/19 season, Timms was voted as the Players’ Player of the Season and the Supporters’ Player of the Season and should prove to be a fan favourite on the south coast.
At just the age of 18, Timms came off the bench in a Continental Cup match against Millwall Lionesses and scored the winning goal of the game only two minutes later. A moment she describes as her proudest in football.
