Lewes FC are delighted to announce the signing of 19-year-old winger Simran Jhamat, who becomes the Club’s sixth summer signing.
Jhamat started last season playing at Leicester City and made 13 appearances in all competitions, before making the switch to Coventry United halfway through the season.
Before playing for the Foxes and Coventry, the winger started her career at the Aston Villa Centre of Excellence. She then moved to Merseyside to play for Liverpool for two seasons, playing both development and first-team football.
Jhamat has also represented England at underage level and says scoring her first goal for her country is one of her most memorable moments in football. In March this year, Jhamat was selected as part of the England squad for the U19’s La Manga tournament in Spain.
On the pitch, look out for Jhamat’s 1v1 ability against the opposition fullbacks and her link up play with the Rooks midfield and forward line.
