Lewes FC are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Laura Hartley from Brighton & Hove Albion.

The 19-year-old shot stopper, originally from Norfolk, did make one loan appearance for the Rooks last season too. She started her career at Norwich City and spent seven years with the Canaries before moving to the south coast to join the Seagulls and complete her college studies.

Hartley made her first team debut for the Albion against Yeovil Town in the Continental Cup in a 4-2 win and later made appearances against London Bees and Millwall Lionesses. In Brighton’s first Women’s Super League game, Hartley was selected to play in goal against Bristol City. The new Lewes goalkeeper has also attended training camps in Spain and Portugal with her parent club.

Away from club football, Hartley has been selected to attend a number of training camps with England throughout her career.

When not playing football the new Lewes number 31 is currently studying for her degree in sport and exercise science at university.
