Lewes FC are delighted to announce the signings of two new players to Craig Nelson’s men’s first team, ahead of Saturday’s tie with Cray Valley PM
Midfielder Tyler Christian-Law joins The Rooks following a spell with Herne Bay.
Tyler’s previous clubs include Margate, Wingate & Finchley, Wealdstone, Braintree Town, Horsham and Dartford and he brings experience to a youthful Rooks squad.
Also joining is Olly Hamstead. The 22 year-old centre back joins from Carshalton Athletic and counts Kingstonian, Burgess Hill, Hemel Hempstead and Uxbridge amongst his previous clubs.
We can also confirm the signing of centre back, Jamie Watson.
Jamie joins us on dual registration from Tonbridge Angels and made his debut in Tuesday’s 2-1 win against Cheshunt.
Jamie came through the ranks at National League Bromley, playing for their Academy sides before graduating to the Under 23’s, where he became captain. He went on to play for VCD Athletic, Phoenix Sports, Alfreton Town, and Whitehawk before joining the Angels at the start of the 25/26 season.
Confirming the signings, Manager Craig said: “I’m really pleased to welcome Olly, Jamie and Tyler into the squad”.
“Each of them brings something different: energy, hunger and quality in key areas that will strengthen us going forward. They’ve fitted in straight away and shown a great attitude in training. All three will be available for Saturday’s game and I’m excited to see them contribute to what we’re building here.”
We can also confirm the departure of midfielder, Cameron Andrews.
Cam joined us from Welling in early September and went on to make six appearances for The Rooks- we wish him all the best for the next steps of his promising career.
