Lewes FC are pleased to announce the signings of Bobby Unwin and Alfie Allen
Both players are familiar faces at The Dripping Pan, having been part of Craig Nelson’s side that finished 13th in the Isthmian League Premier Division last season.
They then followed Nelson to National League South side Tonbridge Angels ahead of the 2025-26 campaign and are now gearing up for a second stint together in East Sussex.
Unwin, 22, is a wide player who first joined The Rooks in February 2024.
Lacking match fitness after a spell out with injury, Bobby came to prominence at the back end of the 2024/25 season, scoring twice in twelve appearance including a memorable effort against Cray Wanderers in the final game of the season.
Bobby scored three times in eleven games in the National South for Tonbridge Angels this season.
Allen is a 23-year-old midfielder who joined Lewes in July 2024 and went on to make 35 appearances and scored two goals including a superb 30-yard strike against Cheshunt.
“I am delighted to bring Alfie Allen and Bobby Unwin back to the club,” said Manager Craig Nelson.
“They both know what it means to play for Lewes and they showed real quality and character during their previous time here.
“Bobby gives us real creativity, pace and power in the final third, always looking to make things happen and Alfie brings great technical qualities mixed with energy, work rate and a real desire to compete.
“They both raise our levels on the pitch and in the dressing room. I know they are hungry to make a big impact for us again and I am excited to work with them.”
Both players will be in contention for selection for Saturday’s tie against Chatham Town.
