Club Captain Katie McIntyre has decided to leave Lewes FC and will play her final game this coming Sunday at home v Crystal Palace at The Pan, KO is 2pm.
Macca, as she is affectionately known, helped the women’s side win four trophies in her 9 seasons. This included one League promotion, one County Cup, One Ryman Cup and a National Plate.
She has won numerous club awards during her time and was a fans favourite, winning supporters’ player last season.
Macca has been an integral part of the club’s meteoric rise in the women’s game since she joined from Brighton in 2011/12. She Captained the side for two seasons and deserves credit for helping the team make the step up into Championship football.
For now, Lewes Football Club would like to extend its huge gratitude to Macca for both her on-pitch commitment and her absolute dedication to the club over the last 9 seasons. She is irreplaceable.
