Kevin Miller leaves role as Commercial Manager

Club news

A restructuring of roles at the club sees the departure of the very popular Kevin Miller.

Kevin explains:

Kevin Miller

“With a heavy heart I regret to inform you all that I will be leaving my role as Commercial Manager at Lewes Football Club on June 30.

The Board of Directors of Lewes FC are changing how the club sells sponsorship, primarily in order to make more prudent use of its resources, and as a consequence are making the commercial role redundant. There are members of the Board who are highly proficient in sales and marketing, and I know that they have not taken this decision lightly, nor will they leave the club without a plan to continue my work going forward. I have been working a notice period, continuing to make sure that the income streams are coming in, and ensuring a smooth transition period.

I can honestly say that working at Lewes Football Club has been one of the most rewarding, most friendly and most satisfying roles that I have ever undertaken. The people and clients with whom I have worked with and shared memories with over the four and half years here will become friends for life, and wherever I work in the future I will never forget the warmth and generosity of this extraordinary Community Club.

I have made it known to the Board that I would like to consider running as a Director through the normal democratic procedures should any opportunity arise in the future – I still want to carry on with helping the club forge ahead and create a long lasting legacy and I will try to get down to the Pan as an owner, fan, and volunteer throughout the forthcoming season.

So to all the amazing people of Lewes Football Club: The Supporters Club, the volunteers, the management, staff and Board, thank you for the opportunity to become part of your family. Two promotions, two cup finals and a relegation… A rock band as a shirt sponsor, (we were going for ACDC!), The Beach Huts, the 3G, Equality FC, the new advertisers, the new businesses, the late night shopping stalls, Cray Wanderers away… It’s been an amazing ride,  but you haven’t seen the last of me yet!
