Dayshonne Golding has signed for the club on a permanent basis, after last season’s successful loan spell.
Golding, 21, joined the club in late 2018 on loan from our Sussex neighbours Hastings United. He made 22 appearances for the Rooks, scoring three times in the process.
The pacey winger can play on either flank and gives Darren Freeman yet more options in his forward line.
“We saw glimpses of what Dayshonne can do last season,” said Darren. “When he’s on his game, he can be unplayable, because he’s quick, direct and drives for goal.”
“Now we’ll have a full pre-season to work with Dayshonne and build him into our style of play. He’s still a very young lad and we’re looking forward to helping him develop.”
Dayshonne is just the latest in a string of summer signings, which have seen the arrivals of Dayshonne’s former Hastings teammate Jordy Mongoy, as well as Dean Bown, Billy Collings, Zach Fagan and Bradley Wilson.
You can get your first sight of the new boys in action at this Saturday’s pre-season opener against FC United of Manchester – 3pm at the Dripping Pan.
