Lewes are pleased to announce the signing of Christian Frimpong.
Defender Christian joins the club from Braintree Town, having come through the youth ranks at Swindon Town. The versatile 22-year-old can play at centre-back or holding midfield, giving new manager Hugo Langton options as we approach the business end of the season.
Christian comes in as long-serving defender Stacey Freeman leaves the club to join neighbouring Whitehawk. Stacey returned to the club with dad Darren in 2015 and has been a regular part of the squad ever since. We thank him for his big contribution to the club over the past five years.
Also departing is Lewis Taylor, whose month-long loan from Dorking Wanderers has come to an end. Big thanks to Lewis and Dorking.
You can hear manager Hugo Langton talk more about Christian Frimpong and the reasons for letting Stacey go on tomorrow’s Progcast, which will be live from 9am on Saturday morning, ahead of the visit of Brightlingsea.
