Lewes FC Women can today announce the signing of versatile defender, Eve Clarkson following the end of her studies in America.
Eve, born in Whalley, Lancashire, came through the ranks at Blackburn Rovers where she was part of a successful development team.
She was on the fringes of the first team and made appearances in the squad before moving to America with the University of the Incarnate Word.
Clarkson made 79 appearances for the Cardinals scoring five goals.
Upon joining the club, she said: “I’ve not been here long but I’ve enjoyed it so much so far, the girls have been really welcoming and it’s been a great start.
“I’m a very aggressive and hard-working player, I’m definitely the player doing the slide tackling and dirty work! But also recently I have grown my technical game a lot and I’m very versatile.”
Welcome to Lewes, Eve!
