Lewes are delighted to announce the signings of midfielders Zoe Cross and Mollie Rouse.
Cross returns to England after finishing studying and playing football at the University of Missouri in the United States of America.
The new Rooks signing is an experienced player having represented England at youth level.
In 2018 Cross was selected to be a part of Mo Marley’s England U20 Women’s World Cup squad which reached the semi-finals and went on to win a bronze medal.
Before moving to America, Cross played for Brighton & Hove Albion from U12 to U15 level. She then went to south-west London side Chelsea to be a part of the youth system there.
Rouse is also returning to England from the USA after combining her football with studying at the University of Central Florida and University of Louisville.
Originally from Stratford-upon-Avon, Rouse came through Aston Villa’s Centre of Excellence and then became part of the first team when they were part of the formerly known FA Women’s Super League 2.
Rouse also travelled to the 2018 U20 World Cup with Cross having been selected as part of Marley’s side and also won a bronze medal. The midfielder featured against North Korea, Brazil, Mexico and in the semi-final against Japan.
In the USA, Rouse was a Women’s Premier Soccer League champion, was named the Offensive Player of the Year in her conference and was named in the All Conference Team of the Year.
