Two familiar faces have returned to The Dripping Pan as the men’s management team targets a strong end to the 2025-26 Isthmian League Premier Division season.

Jack Enkh and Jerry Puemo played for the Rooks under manager Craig Nelson last term and have now returned to the defensive line.

Fans will already have seen centre back Puemo contributing to our 2-1 home win over Dulwich Hamlet a fortnight ago. He was also in the lineup for last weekend’s away match at Dartford.

The 28-year-old, who made 25 appearances for Lewes during his first tenure at the club, has returned after stints with AFC Croydon, Cray Valley PM and Raynes Park Vale.

Enkh, meanwhile, has rejoined Lewes ahead of today’s home fixture against Canvey Island, having taken part in several midweek training sessions.

The dynamic, forward-thinking left back played 20 times during his first spell as a Rook in late 2024.

“I’m delighted to welcome both Jerry and Jack back to Lewes,” said Nelson.

“They’re two players we already know well, not just in terms of their quality, but their character and understanding of what this club demands.

“Bringing them back was about adding reliability, familiarity and strengthening key areas at an important stage of the season.

‘Jerry has settled straight back in and brings real physical presence, composure and leadership to the back line.

“Jack adds aggression, athleticism and a real willingness to defend first, which is exactly what we need.

“Together, they give us balance, competition and depth across the defensive unit.

“They complement what we already have and raise the overall level, which is crucial as we push forward.”

The returns of Enkh and Puemo add to a string of recent additions to the men’s first team squad for the season run in.

It includes centre back Nikolai Krokhin, goalkeeper Alfie Mansell and loanees Charlie Paye (from Bromley) and Jackson King (from Wycombe Wanderers).
