Lewes FC would like to provide an update on recent developments in the men’s squad.
Martell Taylor-Crossdale has departed Lewes after being recalled by his parent club, Tonbridge Angels.
Martell arrived at The Dripping Pan in November on a loan deal and scored two goals in six appearances, the first on his debut against Brentwood Town and the second at Hashtag United.
Antonio Morgan has also departed following an approach from Welling United.
Antonio joined the Rooks early in the 2025-26 season on a dual-registration basis from Tonbridge Angels, making 20 appearances in all competitions.
The club can also confirm the departure of midfielder Kaan Bennett following an approach from Burgess Hill Town.
Kaan joined us in the summer and went on to make 24 appearances, scoring 3 goals including a vital injury-time winner against Welling United in December.
Lewes FC would like to thank all three players for their contributions and wish them the best for the future.
Additionally, left winger Billie Clark has joined Eastbourne Town.
He made his debut for the Isthmian League South East side on 3rd January, making an instant impact by scoring the decisive goal, followed by a hat-trick this weekend.
The move is intended to provide Billie with consistent game minutes and to support his ongoing development. The club is continuing to monitor his progress closely.
“We always want to act in the best interests of the players and the club,” said Lewes FC men’s first team manager Craig Nelson.
“I want to thank those who have moved on for their professionalism and commitment while they were with us.
“We’re looking at one or two areas to strengthen the group, but it’s also important to continue to create opportunities for our young players to step up.
“Overall, we’re confident in the group and the direction we’re moving in.”
In injury news, Olly Hamstead missed the away matches against Burgess Hill and Canvey Island with a bruised ankle.
The defender then returned to training last week and played the full 90 minutes against Ramsgate on Saturday.
Lastly, midfielder Parish Muirhead was unavailable to play Ramsgate following a call-up to represent the Grenada national team, who face Jamaica on Sunday.
Congratulations to Parish, who also made his 50th appearance for Lewes in the recent 1-0 win at Canvey.
