Midfielder Ansu Janneh and centre forward Will Harley have joined Lewes FC, as men’s manager Bradley Pritchard looks to consolidate a strong start to the 2025-6 campaign.
Janneh joins from fellow Isthmian League Premier Division side Carshalton Athletic, where he was part of the starting lineup for the Robins’ opening five league matches.
The 26-year-old central midfielder represented Billericay Town in 2024-25 and has National League South experience with multiple clubs including Tonbridge Angels, Havant & Waterlooville and Braintree Town.
Janneh is Pritchard’s second recent addition to the midfield, after Cameron Andrews who made his Dripping Pan debut last time out against Chichester City.
Harley, meanwhile, brings height and strength to the Lewes attack.
The 18-year-old has joined from Eastbourne Borough of the National League South on a one-month loan.
In addition to the new signings, Lewes FC also confirms the departures of three players, two on a temporary basis.
Jordan Maguire-Drew and Mark Swainston have both departed for more game minutes. Maguire-Drew, who plays up front, will head to Chichester City, while Philippines international midfielder Swainston is joining Hastings United.
Walter Figueira is no longer with the club, having played eight times for the Rooks in the no.19 shirt and scoring the third goal in our 3-0 win over Burgess Hill Town.
Lewes FC wishes Walter well in his future endeavours.
After one week off, Lewes men return to action at home to Ramsgate this weekend, as part of the club’s 140th birthday celebrations.
