Did you know Lewes FC spoke at the WWF this week? We were invited to share our nature initiatives at the WWF X Football for Future event.

Lewes FC has become synonymous with its gardens thanks to our wonderful volunteers, who cultivate Brad’s Pit and the community garden all year round.

We shared how the gardens have become a hub for locals and also global partners, who find the space so special that they want to volunteer and be part of it too. Lewes FC does corporate entertaining very differently!

We also shared how we combine football and nature, with our iconic pre-season photoshoot in our community garden for our men’s team singing photos.

The Dripping Pan is located in the perfect spot for nature to influence – but it’s only through the hard work of our volunteers and staff that the ground can become the sustainable, eco-friendly presence it is today.

Nature also softens toxic masculinity. It’s something we all understand and therefore including it within a football space makes the stadium more inclusive and welcoming.
