Welcome to Lewes Ladies

Hello and welcome to Lewes Ladies FC.
Our ambition for this, and every, season is to improve on last season! Lewes currently sit at their highest point in the football hierarchy, having firmly established ourselves in the South East Combination League with consecutive top half finishes following promotion in 2006 / 07. With a talented squad, a committed management & coaching team and solid backing we are confident of continuing our improvement.
This season we are putting in place a blueprint which will enable us to establish ourselves as one of the best run clubs in the region both on and off the pitch. Our desire is to play premier league football in the near future.
The squad is backed generously by its sponsors and is fully integrated into the Lewes FC setup, enjoying one of the best pitches in any league at the Dripping Pan.
We believe in teamwork, talent and progression. Every player in the squad has a role to play, not just the eleven on the pitch. Our selection policy is fair and based on performance and attitude; players must fight for a starting place and play well to keep it. Our ethos is that no one is bigger than the Team and we endeavour to combine as one solid unit. Team Spirit is a major factor and we must focus on what is right for the Team.

We are extremely grateful to our sponsors who help cover the costs of running the Team.

MONEY MATTERS
We will also continue with the Player Sponsor/Donation of £50 whereby Players go out and get a sponsor for their kit. Their name will appear on the web site and if mentioned on match reports during the season Please make cheques made payable to Lewes Ladies FC and the deadline is Wednesday 28th September.
Alongside this each player will be allocated one Home fixture to find a Match Sponsor who will make a contribution of £30 which will go towards the after match catering. Their Name will appear on the Web Page and they get a Photo of the Team.
To meet the remaining cost namely the training facilities we do require every player to pay £25 per month via Direct Debit over a 10 month period. This will include the £30 share to have a stake in the club. (See below)
On July 8th 2010, Lewes Football Club moved from private to community ownership.
To spread ownership wider, from July 8th 2011 shares in The Mighty Rooks will be available at a minimum price of £30 per annum. Yes, that’s just £30 to become an owner of Lewes FC - Every penny you give goes towards strengthening our not-for-profit community club.
This is an opportunity for you to hold a stake in this great club and help us grow.
TRAINING
The squad train at Brighton Rugby Club at Waterhall in Brighton (3G) on Wednesday evenings between 8pm – 10pm.
Each player is expected to attend Training throughout the season. We realise that things do crop up however regular non attendance will not be acceptable as this has a huge impact on you the players and more importantly the Coaches!
We recognise that fitness will play a big part this season so we will be introducing regular fitness sessions with Steven on top of the normal sessions and these will be on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Your attendance will benefit not just you but the whole squad so please ensure you attend as many as possible. Let’s be fitter than any of the opposition!
MANAGEMENT & COACHES TEAM
