Rooks caretaker boss Simon Wormull has begun to assess the options within his squad, with the announcement of a number of player movements.

Striker Michael Malcolm has today been placed on the transfer list. Wormull said: “Michael spoke to myself and Steve Duly over the weekend, and has been very honest that he will not be able to commit to the new training structure of the club. This, coupled with some work related issues, has led us to agree for him to be placed on the transfer list. His attitude has been first class and he has assured me that he will continue to give 100% until he moves on.”

Goalkeeper Rikki Banks current loan agreement expires on Saturday, and the club will be speaking to Eastbourne Borough regarding a possible extension.

Albert Jarrett who joined the club in November on a temporary agreement has been released, and midfielder Alex Stavrinou will be returning to his parent club Ebbsfleet United after a successful two month loan spell.

Wormull commented: “There are a number of factors that I have to deal with at the moment. We thank both players for their services, and wish them well for the future.”

The new Lewes boss concluded: “I have identified some new faces to bring into the squad, and hope that these signings will happen inside the next two or three days.”
