Lewes FC and Steve King have parted company by mutual consent. 

As previously announced there was an investigation.  This did not concern any financial issues or irregularities. 

While the nature of the investigation must remain confidential, the Board and Steve King maintained different points of view which proved impossible to reconcile. 

Given the consequent impact on their relationship, both parties felt it best to part company.

The Board thanks the supporters and owners of Lewes FC for their patience and discretion throughout this difficult period.

Lewes FC will announce a new First Team Manager and Coaching staff as soon as possible.
Neither party will make any further statement in any forum.
