18/12/11
The U18 side went out the County Cup following their latest encounter against Burgess Hill this afternoon at the Dripping Pan. A weakened Rooks side were forced to shuffle the pack and play Josh Phillips in goal for the visit of the Hillians, who were a goal up inside six minutes through Pat Soan. The visitors went further ahead after the break, but a Jordan Stubbings strike gave the Rooks hope until Max Miller sealed the win late on.

Eight man Tooting no match for Lewes
17/12/11
In an extraordinary afternoon, Lewes beat Tooting & Mitcham 3-1 as the hosts were reduced to eight men. The game itself wasn't bad-tempered but Charlie Dove had an early bath after a straight red in the first half and he kept the water warm for Matt Drage and Terry Fennessy who picked up second bookings after the break. Lewes went ahead in first half stoppage time when Christian Nanetti's cross-come-shot snuck in at the far post. Tooting responded well to their second dismissal, drawing level within three minutes through Charlie Stimson, but Lewes took the lead again through Michael Malcolm, and Alex Stavrinou ended a great move between Nic Ciardini and Nanetti by steering home at the near post for the third. Tooting's third red card after another challenge on live wire Nanetti saw Lewes lay siege but unable to add to their tally in front of the league's biggest gate of the afternoon. The Rooks consolidated their position in fourth place, five points off the top, as they prepare to travel to Hastings United for the Sussex derby on Boxing Day.

Rooks beat Robins
13/12/11
Lewes inflicted Carshalton Athletic's first League defeat since mid October with a valuable 2-1 win at the War Memorial Sports Ground this evening. First half goals from Michael Malcolm and Alex Stavrinou gave the Rooks a timely first half lead and despite the hosts pulling a goal back in the 68th minute, Lewes held on to claim all three points and jump up to fourth place. The last first team game before Christmas sees Lewes entertain Tooting & Mitcham United on Saturday, kick off 3pm.

Ladies beat Ebbsfleet
04/12/11
Lewes Ladies continued their league campaign with a convincing 7-0 win at Ebbsfleet United this afternoon. Naomi Cole, who has been so instrumental during her period on loan from Chelsea, netted a hatrick, with the other goals coming from Kelly Newton, Holly Grogan, Tammy Waine, and Jo Gardiner. Norwich and Enfield both won to keep up the pressure on the Rooks who are eight points clear at the top. Next Sunday, the Ladies travel to C&K Basildon in the first round of the Women's FA Cup.
It's narrow at Harrow for Lewes
03/12/11
Another 1-0 win, this time at Harrow Borough, was enough to secure all three points this afternoon. Harry Harding outfoxed the Borough defence with some nifty control in the 17th minute to put Lewes ahead, but that's how the game ended, despite a strong performance from the visitors, especially in the first half. Harrow were a lot more organised in the second half but their increased threat didn't materialise into many clear chances. The travelling fans though Christian Nanetti had earned a penalty after taking a tumble in the box but the referee had other ideas, whilst Michael Malcolm forced the Borough keeper into a spectacular save in the latter stages. Lewes - who remain in fifth place in the Ryman Premier, six points behind leaders Billericay Town - travel to Met Police on Wednesday for a place in the Alan Boon League Cup quarter finals.
