Toast the Rooks on Thursday

Lewes fans will be gathering in the Royal Oak this Thursday evening from 7pm to mark the actual 125th anniversary of the meeting that led to the foundation of Lewes Football Club on 23 September 1885.

All are welcome to attend this historic occasion.

The atmosphere will be informal and there will be live music from the guitar of Bob Mayston.

There's nothing planned, it’s simply a question of being there and being able to say: ‘I drank a toast to the Mighty Rooks in the place where it all began 125 years ago.’

The Royal Oak is in Station Street, Lewes, up the hill direct from the train station.
