The Rooks Website can exclusively announce that manager Steve Ibbitson and the new Community Board have moved quickly to bolster the playing squad for this Saturday's fixture against Hampton & Richmond.

This is in the face of an unprecedented early season injury crisis. We can reveal that, as of late last night (Thursday), the players coming in for September are:
Kane Wills (creative midfielder; ex-BHA and Ebbsfleet, on loan from Eastbourne Borough)
Ollie Roe (versatile defender, ex-BHA, on loan from Eastbourne Borough)
Dan Beck (creative and combative forward, ex- Rooks and Bognor)
Steve Elliott (versatile defender/midfielder, local Lewes lad, ex-Rooks, Hastings and Horsham)
Lee Carey (holding midfielder; ex-Hastings and with us for the last few weeks)

Ibbitson says that there is one more player he hopes to bring in too. And more good news for Rooks fans is that the exciting young winger George Jones will be available to play on Saturdays from the Chelmsford game on the 18th.

Ibbo told the Rooks Website: "The squad was getting far too stretched with the unbelievable number of injuries we've had.  I'm particularly concerned that players get the correct time to recover from injury to make sure we don't run the risk of losing them for even longer.  I'm pleased and grateful at the positive response from the Community Board, despite the fact that the finances remain tight."
