Busy preparations for the Rooks' new season continue with the announcement of two more new signings.

Simon Wormull makes a welcome return to the Dripping Pan, having left Zamaretto Premier League Champions Farnborough Town by mutal consent this month.

Wormull was a major part of the Rooks' 2008 Blue Square South winning team but joined Eastbourne Borough at the end of the season.

After one campaign, Wormull signed for Farnborough, scoring three goals in 32 appearances. The former Spurs trainee moves back to Lewes in search of more regular first team football and is likely to be a popular signing with supporters.

The task of following in the footsteps of another fans' favourite, goalkeeper Rikki Banks, falls to new signing Chris Winterton.

With Banks having left Lewes for Eastbourne Borough, Winterton rejoins the Rooks having had a short spell at the Dripping Pan during the Conference Premier season in January 2009.

The 22 year old left Lewes to play professional in Finland and returned during last season when he joined Burgess Hill. The former Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper is a superb shot stopper and is aiming to establish himself between the posts for the Rooks next season.
