Lewes drew their third consecutive away trip against Bishop Stortford on Saturday, but with Worcester also drawing at home to St Albans, there was no change to the league placings at the foot of the Blue Square South.

One positive note for the Rooks was Weston's defeat at Dorchester, which meant that the gap between 20th and 21st place increased by two points, with Lewes now six points ahead with a game in hand.

The game at Woodside Park offered little in the way of chances for either side although Jack Walder was unlucky to see his effort cannon off the bar with Stortford keeper Nicky Morgan tipping Kane Louis' shot the same way before the interval.

The home side didn't really threaten until the 75th minute when Prestedge should have done better than head wide, but soon after they were reduced to ten men when Abdullahi was sent off for his second yellow card.

Lewes skipper Anthony Barness almost grabbed the three points but Morgan managed to make a safe after the defender's shot ripped through a crowded area.

Lewes are next in action on Wednesday in a re-arranged fixture against Bath City. Kick off is 7.45pm and everyone is encouraged to come and lend their support to the Rooks.
