Rooks pitch up to the Farmer's Market
04/2/10
This Saturday's Farmer's Market down the Cliffe will have a new addition - an appearance from Lewes FC.
A number of supporters have volunteered to add a bit of variety to the beeswax candles and organic carrots normally found at the market and will be selling tickets for the forthcoming beer festival, as well as attempting to create interest and awareness of the football club in general amongst the Saturday morning shoppers.
Programmes for the Braintree game (kick off 3pm) will be available to buy in advance from the stall and supporters will also be handing out leaflets promoting the beer festival and advertising forthcoming Blue Square South fixtures at the Dripping Pan.
Supporters are welcome to drop by and say hello, and even lend a hand if they've got a bit of time on their hands.
Rumours that groundsman Roger is planning to turn the Dripping Pan's grass bank into allotments to grow fresh veg for future Farmer's Markets are unfounded though.
