Battle of the Birds at the Pan
02/10/09
The Rooks take on the Swans tomorrow afternoon as Staines become the latest visitors to the Dripping Pan.
Staines have won three league matches this season although they have taken maximum points only once in their last nine league games, losing twice and drawing six others.
Lewes head into the game on the back of a three match unbeaten run, having accounted for Arundel in the Sussex Senior Cup and Leatherhead, after a replay, in the FA Cup.
The Rooks are still chasing their first league win and have suffered a further defensive injury to add to a growing list with Ross Sutton doubtful having been replaced at Leatherhead on Tuesday night after a sickening clash meant that the youngster required five stitches in a head wound.
He joins Danny Cullip, Andy Pearson and Ryan Timms on the sidelines, with midfielder Jack Walder also a likely absentee tomorrow.
With a large number of Rooks supporters present at Leatherhead on Tuesday night, the players responded to the vocal support so why not pop down to the Pan and cheers the team on tomorrow?
Kick off is at 3pm and everyone is welcome.
