Rooks notch first win

Lewes progressed in the Sussex Senior Cup this evening with a 2-1 win at Arundel.
The Rooks were eventually able to show their superiority when, having hit the woodwork, they went ahead just after the half hour with a fierce shot from Williams Peauroux.
Lewes made a strong opening to the second half and Arron Hopkinson was rewarded for his lively performance with a goal five minutes after the restart.
Evan Archibald made his debut upfront alongside Sam Crabb who was making his return from injury and both players looked eager to please.
The visitors dominated the latter stages and hit the woodwork again although in truth should have been comfortably ahead before Scott Tipper bagged a late consolation.
