Ladies beat the fleet

Lewes Ladies continued their fine start to the season with a 2-0 win over Ebbsfleet United this evening.
The Fleet started brightly but Lewes took the lead when Kirstie Spice held off a last ditch challenge to score midway through the first half.
Moments before half time, Steph O'Reily scored a second for the Rooks with a superb shot from 30 yards which left the Ebbsfleet keeper grabbing thin air.
The Rooks maintained their hold of an entertaining game after the interval although they couldn't add to their tally.
Lewes Ladies are in action again on Sunday at the Dripping Pan as they defend the League Cup, with a difficult tie against Enfield. Kick off is 2pm, entry is free and everyone is welcome.
