Lewes are still without a win this season following a 0-2 defeat at home to Woking this afternoon.

Both sides started brightly but the Cards soon began to show their strength, directed by the impressive Moses Ademole in midfield.

A promising Lewes corner led to the first goal, when a swift counter attack caught out the Rooks and after an impressive run down the right wing, Harry Arter's perfect cross fell to left back Rikki Annane who twisted through the defence to finish strongly past Banks.

Woking were able to see the game out for most of the second half and Lewes didn't have an answer to their controlled play.

Even the bizarre dismissal of Woking manager Graham Baker for kicking a ball at the linesman to alert him of a substitution failed to affect the visitors, who doubled their lead two minutes into injury time when good work from Ademole allowed sub Charlie Moone to score.

The Rooks are next in action at Bromley on Monday, kick off 3pm.
