Lewes Ladies put in a tremendous performance this afternoon in their second pre-season friendly.

After last week's win over Havant & Waterlooville, Lewes took on Charlton at the Dripping Pan, and came out 2-1 winners. Charlton play in the FA Premier League Southern Division, and so this was a great result for manager Jaquie Agnew and her team.

Kelly Newton scored from a corner with new striker Rachel Dangerfield opening her account and despite some spirited play from the visitors, Lewes held on to claim the win.

Their final pre-season match is away to Denham next Sunday.
