The Rooks' penultimate friendly takes place at the Dripping Pan on Saturday against long-time rivals Worthing.

The Rebels have had a mixed pre-season so far, beating Horsham and Whitehawk but going down to Concord Rangers and Hastings United.

Worthing manager Simon Colbran will be expecting his new-look side to produce a professional performance against the Rooks, with captain Paul Kennett in line to make his first appearance at the Dripping Pan since winning the BSS with Lewes in 2008.

Meanwhile Lewes assistant coach Jason Hopkinson will be demanding his players continue where they left off on Wednesday evening, having secured their first win of the season against Dulwich Hamlet.

Competition for places is very strong and with the new season only a week away, the management team will be finalising their plans over the coming days as the Rooks prepare to welcome Weymouth, for the opening match of the Blue Square South season on August 8th.

Despite the cancellation of the Under 18 match which was due to preceed this game, kick off against Worthing remains at 3.30pm.
