Around 30 supporters turned up at the Dripping Pan this morning to help preparations for the new season.

Various jobs were completed, from painting steps and strimming grass to general tidying and sweeping up. The galant bunch of volunteers really made a difference and were in no doubt how much better things look with a lick of paint.

A skip was piled high with rubbish and cuttings and the feeling amongst those who turned up was one of achievement and the real suggestion that similar mornings ought to happen occasionally during the season.

Manager and Coach Steve Ibbitson and Jason Hopkinson were on hand to direct others and generally keep themselves as clean and tidy as possible, although they did bring the beers which were well received. They were very pleased with the turnout which gave them both a chance to speak to supporters with everyone looking forward to the season ahead.

As Jason went to wash the brushes at the end of the morning, he said "It's been a great turnout and I'm amazed at how much has got done. Me and Ibbo would like to pass on our thanks to everyone who came down today. Everyone's efforts are much appreciated."
