Lewes will kick off the new Blue Square South season on August 8th with a home fixture against Weymouth, who were also relegated from Blue Square Premier last season.

The Terras suffered serious financial problems last season which culminated in their fall into BSS, but since then they have turned things round and will prove to be a tough fixture for Steve Ibbitson in his first match since officially taking over as first team manager last month.

Ibbitson is looking forward to getting the season started though and said "It's a nice opening fixture for us really. I'm sure they'll bring quite a few fans with them so it will be nice to get a decent crowd back at the Dripping Pan."

Two matches on the road against Braintree and Newport County follow in a busy opening month which sees the club in action seven times. The usual festive season fixtures against Eastbourne Borough have now been replaced by a home Boxing Day encounter with early title favourites Dover Athletic, with the return fixture on New Year's Day. The season ends with a visit to last season's play-off finalists Hampton & Richmond.
