New kit to welcome the South Downs National Park
01/4/09
Lewes FC are set to mark the announcement of the new South Downs National Park with a change of kit for Saturday's fixture at the Dripping Pan.
The Government announced this week that Lewes will fall within the boundary of the proposed National Park, making Lewes FC the highest-ranked football club to be included.
As a way of celebrating the announcement, Lewes FC will wear a new green striped kit for Saturday's visit of Altrincham in place of their traditional red and black stripes.
The new shirts will be light green and olive green alternating stripes to resemble the colour of leaves and grass, with a single white strip down the sleeves which represents the chalk of the Downs.
Built using the latest Mastered Advance Design TM technology, the new shirt is not an evolution of an old one, but the symbol of a new beginning. It's been built from the inside out, bringing together an innovative design philosophy with traditional English tailoring.
The new kit incorporates the latest fashion styling such as Lumbar Zone ventilation, a rear shoulder dart, underarm rib gusset and tailored sleeve to make it probably the most avant garde shirt in this season's Blue Square Premier and is sure to be the envy of clubs nationwide.
The shorts will be continue the stripe theme but also have a new leg cut which incorporates Design Architecture Flexible Tailoring TM and allows a greater range of speed and motion.
The new shirt will be available from the club website today only, until midday, when stocks will run out.
