Ibbitson thanks Keehan
14/3/09
New Lewes Caretaker Manager Steve Ibbitson thanked his predecessor today for the way he conducted himself during his exit from the club.
Kevin Keehan resigned as manager last Tuesday after the defeat at Rushden and Diamonds, but he has ensured a smooth handover for the new man at the helm, which has impressed Ibbitson.
He said, “Kevin is a real gentleman. He could have made things difficult for the club and he could have made things difficult for me but he’s handled the handover to me tremendously well and he’s given me every assistance”.
“I know he’s spoken to the players and made sure that they’re all on side. The way he’s handled himself in the handover is a credit to him and he’s made my initial tasks a lot easier. I’m very grateful to Kevin for that.”
