File (Embeded) - Lewes v Havant keehan celebrates small

This evening's 2nd round FA Trophy match between Lewes and Havant & Waterlooville ended in a 3-3 draw, thanks to former Rook Paul Booth''s late equaliser.

Lewes went ahead in the fourth minute thanks to a powerful header from Joe Keehan and the Rooks looked set for a half time lead until the intervention of referee Simon Beck who awarded the visitors a mysterious penalty in stoppage time which Luke Nightingale dispatched at the second attempt.

A strong run from David Wheeler ended with a Lewes penalty which Michael Standing scored, and Elliott Charles, making an impressive debut alongside fellow Barnet loanee Kieron St-Aimie scored a third which looked enough to put Lewes through.

However it was always likely that there would be goals with three ex-Rooks involved, and Ian Simpemba's header midway through the second half got the Hawks back into the match, setting it up for Booth's entry as a late subsitute to draw the scores level with 3 minutes left.

The drama was not over though, as there was still enough time for Standing's dismissal for dissent moments later.

The replay is set for next Monday 19th January, and will mean the third postponement of the Blue Square Premier trip to Kettering, which will be re-arranged for a later date.
