Lewes are still to score a Blue Square Premier League goal in 2009, having suffered another defeat on Tuesday evening, at the hands of Torquay United.

The Rooks did well to keep United at bay for long periods and it took Kevin Nicholson's deflected free kick to open the scoring two minutes from half time, with the ball rebounding off Tyrone Thompson to wrong-foot Lewes keeper Rikki Banks.

Lewes held their own and pushed for a second half equalizer although their efforts were thwarted when Roscoe Dsane doubled the visitor's lead in front of a sizeable away crowd in the 64th minute.

Shaun Wilkinson went close for Lewes but his snap shot was just wide of the post to leave Lewes still looking for their first goal in 11 hours of league football.
