Lewes FC Press Statement 8.1.2009
Further to the appeal announced by Lewes FC before Christmas, the club have had much interest from a number of different parties. The Board continue to hold discussions with those individuals and businesses that have expressed an interest in helping the Club and would welcome any further offers from any other parties.
It is very much hoped that a meeting will be convened shortly of those who have confirmed a serious interest to agree the way forward as well as deal with the short term financial issues.
The Board continue to seek professional advice, and do not see a need to follow the route of considering administration at this time. These discussions are at this time on going and the club will be making a further detailed statement at the end of January as to the outcome of these talks.
